Q. Where is First Gear based?
A. First Gear used cars are based in Whitwick, Leicestershire in the East Midlands. All our used cars can be viewed at the address at the bottom of this page. A map and directions can be found here.


Q. Do you accept part exchanges?
A. Yes, come and see us in your car and we can offer valuations on viewing. More details can be found here


Q. Are the vehicles HPI checked?
A. Yes, all vehicles are checked prior to purchase. For more info about HPI checks click here.


Q. Can I return my car if I change my mind?
A. Yes. All vehicles are offered with a 7 day/350 miles exchange plan. You may exchange your car for another similar priced vehicle within 7 days/350 miles (whichever comes sooner).


Q. How much deposit will I need to secure a car?
A. £100 deposit will hold any vehicle on sale for a period of 24 hours. A £300 deposit will hold any vehicle on sale for a period of 48 hours. Deposits for our used cars are non-refundable.**


Q. Do you offer finance facilities?
A. Yes, we offer finance at very competitive rates (12.9% typical APR). Please contact us for more details


Q. How many vehicles do you have to choose from?
A. We usually have around 20 cars available for viewing/test drives. All cars currently available can be viewed on our website or on the Auto Trader database at www.autotrader.co.uk. Unlike many of our competitors, all used car prices can be viewed online.


Q. What payment methods do you accept?
A. First Gear can accept Switch, Delta, Maestro, all major credit cards, building society cheques, bankers drafts, or cash. 


Q. How are your cars prepared for sale?
A. All our used cars are fully valeted with 12 months MOT
